# makeDir

Create a directory.

```js
makeDir(path)
```

## Arguments

| Argument | Type | Meaning |
| --- | --- | --- |
| `path` | string | Target path. |

## Returns

null on success; error string on failure.

## Example

```js
const error = makeDir(__dirname + "/output");
if (error !== null) throw new Error(error);
```
