# ObjCObject.metadata

Read cached native reference metadata.

## Arguments

No arguments.

## Returns

className string and isClass boolean.

## Example

```js
const klass = ObjC.class("NSString");
console.log(klass.className, klass.isClass);
```

## Notes

Start with [Objective-C step by step](/doc/objc). Here, object means a proxy returned by ObjC/RemoteObjC, not a global named ObjCObject. Properties, not methods. Shorthand native calls replace selector colons with underscores; an exact call() avoids naming ambiguity.
