# POST /automation/stop

Request cancellation of one JavaScript job.

This is a device HTTP route. Set `DEVICE_URL` to your reachable device URL; [connection and examples](https://mcp.applesauceos.com/doc/http.md) explain how. Do not append this path to the public MCP URL.

## Parameters

| Parameter | Type | Meaning |
| --- | --- | --- |
| `runId` | JSON string | ID returned by automation/run. |

## Response

JSON {runId,stopRequested,status}; status is the current run record. Poll /automation/runs to determine its final state.

## Notes

A completed job can remain successful if it finished before cancellation. Already executed actions are not undone.
