# POST /settings/action

Request a settings action.

This is a device HTTP route. Set `DEVICE_URL` to your reachable device URL; [connection and examples](https://mcp.applesauceos.com/doc/http.md) explain how. Do not append this path to the public MCP URL.

## Parameters

| Parameter | Type | Meaning |
| --- | --- | --- |
| `action` | JSON string | inspector, stopScripts or respring. |
| `confirm` | JSON boolean | Must be true for respring. |

## Response

JSON {accepted:true}.

## Notes

stopScripts requests cancellation of non-daemon scripts. respring ends active scripts and requires confirm:true. Use a per-run stop when appropriate.
