POST /settings
Apply a validated partial preference update.
This is a device HTTP route. Set DEVICE_URL to your reachable device URL; connection and examples explain how. Do not append this path to the public MCP URL.
Parameters
| Parameter | Type | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
preference keys | JSON object | Send only the keys to change; see supported keys below. |
Response
Updated JSON preference snapshot; invalid values return 400.
Example
curl --fail-with-body "$DEVICE_URL/settings" \
-H 'Content-Type: application/json' \
-d '{"keepAwake":true}'Notes
Boolean keys: avoidSafeMode, keepAwake, debugLog, helperEnabled, serverEnabled, inspectorShortcut, volumeStop, showIPInStatusBar, errorAlerts, scriptToasts. disabledHelperBundleIDs is an array of app identifiers. Reopen an app after a blacklist change. Disabling serverEnabled prevents new HTTP/MCP requests; re-enable it in the app. Restore temporary preferences after testing.
Check the HTTP status and any JSON error. HTTP workflows and error handling explain shared limits. All endpoints.
